Our upcoming 7.2 release introduces a faster, smarter way to add new content to Symplectic Elements.
With AI-assisted data entry, users at hosted institutions can now create new items simply by pasting free text – such as a publication citation, CV blurb, or profile description – and let Symplectic Elements extract and structure the details automatically.

This is the first step in a broader initiative to enhance data capture in Symplectic Elements through responsible use of AI, with future enhancements and additional modules planned.

Item Evaluation module
The Item Evaluation module gives you a simpler, more flexible way to review individual research outputs on their own merits. Whether you collate data once a year or continuously, it helps you review outputs independently of researchers.
The final foundations are now in place, including the ability to select unit reviewer pool members, configure review and outcome forms for exercises, and assign and dispatch publications to reviewers.
