Symplectic Elements v7.6 Release Webinar

Be among the first to explore what’s coming in the upcoming Symplectic Elements v7.6 release

29th Sep, 2026

4pm BST – 5pm BST

Online

This session will showcase how we are continuing to improve accessibility, deepen the picture of researcher collaboration, streamline CV import, and make it easier for teams to work confidently with the Symplectic Elements Reporting Database.

What’s new in 7.6

Accessibility: Significant accessibility enhancements

We’re making meaningful accessibility improvements across Symplectic Elements, with particular focus on the workflows administrators and core faculty rely on most day to day.

Discovery module: See collaboration beyond your institution

A new visualisation on researcher profiles shows external collaborations at an organisation level, giving researchers a way to showcase the full breadth of their collaboration network, alongside the existing network diagram that maps internal collaboration with other Symplectic Elements users.

CV import: Fewer incomplete items, less manual cleanup

Several minor improvements and fixes to the CV import UX and workflow, including:

  • Automatic publication status inference for journal articles and conference items when AI doesn’t infer it — reducing the number of items flagged “incomplete” for a missing mandatory value.

Reporting database: Browseable, in-app reporting documentation

New in-app documentation for the Elements Reporting Database replaces the old PDF guides, so up-to-date reference material is always available for each new Elements version — right where report and dashboard builders need it.

  • Custom field coverage — documentation for columns relating to your instance’s own custom fields.
  • Clearer table relationships — more detail on how columns reference each other, to help you join tables correctly.
  • Markdown downloads — export documentation as markdown files for your own docs or AI knowledge bases.

Visible to any user with permission to create or edit reports and dashboards in the reporting hub.
