ORCID’s Data Exchange to Optimize organizational Data in the Common Forms
8/6/2024 10:15 AM – 11:30 AM
Presenters
- Shivendra Naidoo, Senior Engagement Lead for Vendor Development, ORCID
- Sherry Lake, Scholarly Repository Librarian, University of Virginia
- Alexandra Winzeler, Business Development Manager, Digital Science
As an open infrastructure provider ORCID works with various organizations across the global research ecosystem to enable the exchange of data between different systems and the ORCID registry, which in turn makes it easier for researchers to populate the ‘Common Forms’; specifically the ‘BioSketch’ and ‘Current and Pending (Other) Support’ forms. These efforts will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Research Administrators to accurately populate the ORCID records of their affiliated researchers, in order to demonstrate compliance with the new research security policies being mandated by various US Agencies.
